On March 21, 2001 Marti & I had an invitation to attend a gallery opening
of cartoonist Robert Crumb's work at the Erotic Museum in Pigalle . . .




It was a kick to finally meet the notorious undergound comic artist,
who lives in the south of France & was in attendance at the opening.





I'm sure this was the first time my bride ever read an underground comic . . .


Omigod! It's Marti & Mr. Natural!



R. Crumb gave a number of interviews to the French press.
I spoke with him about music.
When I told Robert that I wrote for RELIX, he stated firmly that
he does not like the Grateful Dead or any music after around 1960.
He played us some of the old-timey stuff he does like . . .



Robert was accompanied by Fabienne on accordion & Claire on vocals.


Marti & I hung out there for a while, then got a look at
some of the other exhibits in the Musée de l'Erotisme . . .


This sure wasn't the Louvre!
