Michael lives and resides in wild downtown Aylesford, a raging metropolis on the Annapolis
River. He is the drummer for the stylin' musical experience that is Speedbump. Michael has
been hitting his skins (playing drums) for about 5 years. He's had quite a lot of drum training
through Jazz camps but has never had extensive proffesional lessons. Michael hasn't lived his
garage band exerience with just Speedbump, however. In grade seven Michael was an
important member of the four piece rock group "Pandemonium", who relied heavily on the
lead guitar work of Phillip Dompierre. After Pandemonium, he and guitartist Phil, teamed up
with Joe Anotnick and started "Medium Rare". However, due to the gradual fallout of Phil,
"Medium Rare" was over-cooked. This didn't stop Joe and Mike, who conitually searched
for new bands and new band ideas. During this period between "Medium Rare" and
Speedbump, Joe and Mike made attepts at bands, some of which were named. That 70's
Band, Victor Fleury, and Babystay were among many of their garage band attempts. All of
which fell flat. There was even a period of time when Mike and Joe were members of a local
group, Sloan, but they didn't feel that it was going to go anywhere so they left to pursue their
own careers. Shortly after, Speedbump fell into place and Michael found his usual spot
behind the drumset. In Speedbump, Joe and Mike have a very co-operative way of song
writing. Michael's role is generally to arrange the songs that are written by Joey, and he writes
the majority of the lyrics as well. His experience with Speedbump has sparked a desire
within his soul to live a life of seclusion as a hermit after graduation.
