"So here is my review of my day with Rick! We arrived around 1 pm for the drum circle. They where selling shirts and things. So I'm looking around and see Rick just several feet from me! He was not wearing a shirt. We walked around and talked with a girl who works for Raven doing the books and things! We talked about what a big fan of Rick's I was, then she helped us pick out our drums. Just before we started, Rick had us warm up by banging on the drums to get more comfey with them. Then Lauren started out telling us what Raven was all about and led everybody in a prayer. They taught us 3 different rythems, Rick leading them off. There was this thing that Lauren did with us about pounding a stick into the ground to release anything that we needed, feeling and such. Then she came over to us. As we where holding the stick after pounding it, we all went silent and the stick just moved on its own! It was so strange! Lauren then showed us a dance, I didn't do it because it would have ripped my knee to shreds! After it was over I felt so good and had so much energy, I can't explain it! Then it was time to meet Rick!
We waited till everybody else was done, then just went up and introduced myself. It was like I had known him forever! First thing he said was "Hey nice shirt! By the looks of it you have worn it several times and washed it! It's faded just like mine!" (We where wearing the same shirt!) So I first got a hug from him, then he signed my Slang Cd (We talked about it being his and my fav cd) He also signed my 8x10 photo from the Slang era that Phil had sent to me years ago! He then mentioned where the photo was taken and we talked about that for a few! He took several pics with us! I gave him the braclets that I had for them! He loved them ang thought they wher so cool! He commented about mine too! Just before we said goodbye, I asked him for a hug. He then replied "Sure! But that two hugs today!" So I said "I'll take as many hugs from you as I can get!" He laughed and smiled! I felt real good!
We then talked with Lauren. She is just a sweetheart. So warm and friendly. I told her that I gave Rick the bracelets for them both. She said she loved the colors in mine! She also mentioned my knee and said it was probably good that I didn't dance! We got a pic of me, Allison, and Lauren together! Then she was joking and made a comment about pics of her on the Internet and not to put it up there! She said she didn't want people to know who she is! So I said it was too late, and everybody already knows who you are and loves you! Then she mentioned the stick moving! She said "Did you guys feel that! That was some great energy with the four of you!" We thanked her again and told her we would definatly come back to the next one! They might even do one for the Irvine show next month! I was in full on 7th heaven the whole drive home! So that is my incredible day meeting Rick and Lauren."
