While sitting in the car - OMIGOD! That's Rick Allen! He's loading groceries with Lauren directly in front of us! They kept looking at us and we're sure they noticed our dogs and car when they pulled in next to us (we drive a strange looking VW Thing and our Welsh Corgi is cute and barks loud). So now we're trying to not look like Papparazi and Jenn is clicking off digital pictures of Rick just above the dash line without actually looking at them. Our hearts were racing and we were definitely star struck!
They loaded up their groceries and drove off. Somehow we ended up behind Rick at the light and followed them towards the RV park - at this point we definitely 'felt' like stalkers. Our eyes actually met several times during this event. Rick knew we were there.
Anyway, it was a really cool experience and we felt blessed to have been so close to such an admirable person.
