The Story...thus far

Acrid Skies was born through a marriage. The marriage between Brady's love for melodic power metal and Adam's love of 80's thrash and hard rock. The two have been musicians since late high school, forming and playing with many different bands (mostly metal bands). Adam started playing guitar at the ripe age of 15 with Brady tagging behind on the drums. Soon the twins started meeting great lead guitarists, so Adam switched over to bass creating a solid rythm section with his brother. This drum and bass duo continued through their teenage bands Restraint, Skullock, and Grimstone. After the breakup of their college band Grimstone, Adam and Brady joined up with the Indianpolis industrial/goth act known as Autumn's Descent. The two continued with Autumn's Descent, writing and touring with the band for nearly 2 years. During this trek they played the 2003 Milwaukee MetalFest and Baltimore Metal Mindrage. With new positions in a working band, Adam and Brady were blessed with a care-free urge to make their own music. The metal warriors inside couldn't be chained down anymore. Adam picked up the guitar again with a new found vision and voice. Brady began to fiddle with the keyboards trying desperately to create the Celtic melodies he heard from bands like Rhapsody and Falconer. Writing began.

The two's love for fantasy had grown stronger over the years, and soon Acrid Skies was created. A band founded upon the love of melody, metal, fantasy, and story-telling.
