Playground Psychotic first formed in Spring 2000, starting with a very different line-up from the present one. A few sackings and the arrival of Peter in 2001 brought some very different elements to the band's sound and attitude. Since then the band have gigged extensively and released their first EP 'I Thought I Could Read My Thoughts' in September of last year with their sound being described as "the Breeders meets Sleater Kinney" (Road Records). Karl joined in October and the last few months have been taken up with the usual band grind of writing and rehearsing - the results of which shall be unleashed on the general public as the band play a series of gigs in Dublin and beyond (see News for details) in the coming months.
