Nitro Hill

The Nitro Hill Bluegrass Band was formed in 1977 and has been performing steadily since then. Often playing at the winter bluegrass venues in the Detroit area keeps this group string tight and ready for summer performances. From Toledo, Ohio original member Donnie White (banjo) is joined by recent member Jim Laprad (guitar) as well as Mike Kegley (mandolin) and Bo Kazy (bass), who have been with the group for the past nine years. All of the members have been playing for over thirty years and have been in several well known regional bands.

The Nitro Hill Band has to it’s credit two recordings. The first album was released on the Ranger label in 1979 to excellent reviews from Bluegrass Unlimited. The second album was released on the Shouse label in 1996.
