The Top 25 Album Covers of 2009

I promised myself last year that the 2008 Best Album Covers list would be my last. Of course, I think I said that the year before as well. I’ve been doing the list now for several years with some pretty good responses. I’ve also had a great deal of fun sifting through website after website looking for the next potential cover. Believe it or not, though, it actually takes quite a while to compile only 25 album covers – ones that actually speak to me in one way or another. Sure I could slowly accumulate these over the year, but who has freakin’ time? Well, as always, I found myself intrigued again by all the great cover art I was seeing near the end of this year. With a little coaxing from Mr. P himself and a few days off from work to spare, here we go again. Some of these are fairly obvious and may have lost a bit of intrigue over the year, but these lists are supposed to be reflective. So here they are: some serious, some obvious, some playful, and some that are just downright badass. Happy Holidays TMT readers!
