I Wish

I wish that I could take away all of his pain,
And keep it inside of me.
Just so he wouldn't have to hurt anymore,
And he could always run free.

I wish that he wouldn't worry,
Because it gets him nowhere.
But even though that's not possible,
I want him to know that I care.

I wish that no one would hurt him,
Because he's never hurt a soul.
Every bit of him is so pure,
And he's full of self control.

I wish that everyone else could see,
How perfect he truly is.
So that no matter what the circumstances,
All happiness will be his.
