Marching:
This school year in marching band, to start off we had band camp three weeks before school started. Our first event that we went to is the Maryland University Band Day. We went to several marching competitions following this. All during this time we have been marching at home football games almost every friday night. We also marched in our home town Christmas parade. Even though our football season is over soon enough we will be starting our parade season.
This school year in Concert band, to start off our concert season we played at the Veterens day sermony at the war memoral building. All the while practicing for our Christmas Concert Which we played several times for diffrent schools and the award cermony at our school. We soon will be going to districts and our spring trip to PA.
Our Goals this year for MCHS band is to recieve a supeior rating at districts and other concert competitions. Yet another goal of our band is to do our best and recieve awards at the parades this parade season. Everyone in MCHS Band has their own personal goals for the band season of 00-01. We hope to achhieve these goals with hard work and dedication.
Our Band would like to thank the business and people who donated money for our trip to Florida. Our band world also like to thank the parents who without there ever going support we would not be where we are. We would also like to thank the band boosters for there ever going support and help. And with the most thanks of all we give to our devoted mentor and band director Mr. Cottrill. without his help and insparation we would never survive as a band and team. Also without his never die attitude we would have given up along time ago.
