A Story By Dan Seeth Written October 2000

Hey kids! I'm Dan the drummer (some call me big Dan or Seeth or somtimes Jeramiah the savior of all the chairs!) I really don't care what you call me (except late for dinner--thanks for that one grandpa) I just wouldn't want to get you confused with the other Dan in LUZER, who happens to be playing some crazy piano right now in the Mr. Blose's beautiful classroom. Funny story about that Dan. The other day we were enjoying a nice Papa John's Pizza and i said we needed to call him something else. He in reply said, "Hey why don't you just call me by my name: Rob." I was crushed. You think you know someone and then they tell you their real name. After this aknowledgement, i have no recollection of the rest of my life.

Wait a tick. I'll just make up my past! Sound fun? Of course it does!

Once apon a time, somewhere in NJ on March 1, 1983 (yeah 80's) a boy named (not Goo) Dan (not Rob either) was born. I really can't describe being born. So after that i turned 3. Average kid. Then we got cable. "HEY HEY We're the Monkees!" My favorite show until I turned 6 or so (Nickolodeon stopped showing it) then "You Can't Do That On Television" came on--distant runner up.

I used to play the pots, too. Everyday I would pull those suckers out and just bang away. Good fun even to this day. I went to Yardville School for six years. I met Len Fattori there. Actually I already knew him but i saw him there. Never thought much of him--still don't. Not too much happened in Yardville. I did start to play in the concert band there though. They had a real LUDWIG SNARE DRUM & BASS DRUM!!!!! which was a step up from the Diamond Rock kit i got for Christmas when i was 7.

After Yardville, with six years of being laughed at and made fun of, i moved onto Reynolds Middle School. Not a bad racket. I didn't do to well school wise, but the kids liked me (even the ones that didn't before) and i had a good time. I also met Tim at RMS. I was in Honors Math and i was just having a swell time. Tim sat next to me with Chris Midura (what ever happened to him) behind him. We never did anything that year (6th grade) but Tim gave me a call toward the end of that summer. We went to Great Adventure and i saw my life flash before my eyes as Tim's mom almost killed me on Nottingham Way. Fortunatly we survived the trip and went back to Tim's house. "Do you like Hendrix?" was what Tim said as he proceded to put on "Are You Experienced?" and played along as if he had written the song and showed it to Jimi.

7th grade showed up shortly after this encounter. Somwhere around October/November I heard about this awesome band called "Slate." This wonderful trio consisted of the talented Wes Braden on guitar, Matt Vechiolla slappin that bass, and the peerless Len Fattori on drum kit. Form what was last heard, Wes Had escaped from prison which he was put in for joining a Brazillian gang of Guerilla Warfare. Len was last seen as a co-star in the stag film "Rodents Down My Pants", and Vech was tragically killed in a world cup soccer game*. Anyway, as Slate was comming off their world tour, Len Fattori did a Dave Grohl and moved up front with his 6 string and made a duo with me. Well no offense to Local H, but some duo's just don't cut it! So i introduced Len and Tim and BADDA BING!

*NOT TRUE

The 3 of us goofed around for 2 years and got pretty tight. In November of 9th grade (1997) Steinert High School presented the 1st Annual Spirit Week Concert. NOWhere, as we were then called, was going to play (and steal the show). We were just lacking in bass. Tapping an old resource, we pulled in Wes (Braden) who played joyfully. It was a huge success. After that NOWhere took a little break: Len and Wes went together while Tim and I put new stuff into progress. Around June the quatro that we had, had been reunited and formed something new--Truth Be Known*.

*Actually Truth Be Known was together before Tim was in it. Tim replaced Jay Thomas who was the original bass player. After Jays departure, the joke became TBK w/o Jay .

TBK lasted for quite some time. Up until about March we were together. We had hits such as "Truth Rebellion", "Things I Can't Explain", and "Upon the Rise" which all were tied at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Chart at one time*.

*NOT TRUE

The break up of TBK might have been due to too much focus on side projects as Len, Tim, and I along with pal Mike Toth creating the band KISS* while Wes went along with old band mate Jay Thomas (no relation to Rob Thomas) and created the much famed band TRIBE. Or maybe Tim just wanted to play guitar on Stairway to Heaven (another show stealer) in the SHS Talent Show. We will never know.

*The band KISS was already created 20 years prior to this event. We were just a terrible cover band. Maybe even a bad tribute band.

After TBK became defunct, Jay Thomas left TRIBE and joined the once again lonesome trio. A new era was about to be created. Life in General was born. We started to get steady work at a lovley, high class bar name the CHESTERFIELD INN. We came up with great numbers such as "Down the Drain" and the beginnings of "whY". Our final show was the 3rd annual Spirit Week Concert at SHS. None of the members of that performance have spoken since. Tim was absent of that show due to legal reasons. At the same show, a band called Substance played with us. They had the same result as L.I.G.. The breakup of Substance is believed to be caused by the inconfidence the other players had playing with Aaron Kim. Aaron Kim can be very intimidating because of his high musical skill. Look out for him. The Millers and Dan Salyerds (of Substance) put their musical skill together along with Tim's and mine to create LUZER.

As time seemed to pass, LUZER got stale with some of the members. The Miller Bros. (no they're not plumbers) decided to reform with our old pal Matt Diehl and create SUBSTANCE. I sent out a phone call to a old friend Chris Volk who delightfully returned it. He had just left a band with problems and was looking for somthing new and yummy. He had found his calling with tasty cakes and LUZER as it is today.
