NoseBleed 17's "Hybrid Theory" CD Review |
|
Linkin Park, formerly known as Hybrid Theory (now the name of their CD), have released their debut album through Warner Bros. Records. This CD was one of those that hit me immediately and was addicting from the first listen. I had heard a ton of hype about this band before receiving the CD, which usually brings a let down when you finally hear the material, but not from these guys. This Southern California band pumps energy and feeling into each song with a style that is familiar but also unique and refreshing. With two singers, Mike and Chester, they offer a lot of vocal diversity while still keeping everything flowing smoothly and always going in the same direction, not confusing like others I've heard with this line up. Guitars are done by Brad who puts out a sound that is attention getting and powerful. Rob pounds out the beats and Joseph provides the DJ and sample work, adding in a lot of electronic elements to the music. Overall, this five peice band has created an album with twelve amazing tracks containing melody, heaviness, hip-hop flavor, electronic sounds, and very catchy songs that will attract fans from various directions and all different genres to make them a sucess in the music scene today. Definitely work checking out! Visit the official website - Linkin Park Nosebleed17 Rating: 9.5/10 Back To Review Main |
