Rock-Extreme's "Hybrid Theory" CD Review |

The CD, Hybrid Theory, overall, was great. The music was edgy and hard, and was delivered with meaning, and in some cases the anger and energy that I have now come to expect from them. The music is raw and at many times hits you with a twist that makes it so you can't help but nod your head a bit. Perhaps the best thing about Linkin Park is their ability to mix the lyrics of emcee Mike Shinoda's lyrics with that of Chester's, creating a perfect blend of Hip-Hop and Rock. My favorite songs on the CD are Papercut, Point of Authority, By Myself, In the End, and their first single, One Step Closer, which is playing on select radio stations right now. One Step Closer is one of the more hard songs on the album, which explodes at the end with anger and raw energy. I loved every minute of this CD, look for these guys in the future, because you could not ask for more out of a band's debut album.
