Tyler Johnson's (www.ILoveTaproot.com) "Hybrid Theory" CD Review

As a person very fed up with the whole crossover scene right now, I was very hesitant to even give this band a try, I always heard good things about them, but with the word "rapcore" tagged beside their name everywhere, I wasn't interested, until I won a sampler cd at ozzfest, with the song "With You" on it. Seeming to be the only good song on the cd, this song caught my attention right away. I came straight home and downloaded a few more tracks, and fell in love. This is the first band in ages to do the whole "rapcore, crossover" thing right. The 2 singers never cease to impress me, the song writing/lyrical content in this cd could bring anyone to tears if looked at closely. Seeming to cover every range of human emotion in existence in each song, Linkin Park's "Hybrid Theory" takes you, the listener, through a rollercoster of hip hop/electronic/metal/emo/alternative melodies and spins your mind around in knots until your left wondering "what the fuck just happened?". Another good quality of this cd, is that not one song on it is weak, its not a "go to number 6!" cd, it's a "put that motherfucker in, and play it beginning to end" cd, but my current stand-out tracks are "Untitled (in the end)", "runaway", and "by myself". If not for the music, the lyrics on this cd are well worth the money. In most reviews I try to point out a weakness, but the only bad thing I can find about this cd is that people must get sick of me talking about it.
