Josh McCarthy's "Hybrid Theory" EP Review |
|
The artist that are Linkin Park, formorly know as Hybrid Theory are in my opinion destened to stardome, and not in the so far future. The music on this cd is extremely good for a underground band, even when compared to bands that are super popular. This cd rocks and for the most part, all all the songs on it are really good, no B.S. "Step up", "Esaul", and "And One" are the 3 songs that really stand out to me the most on it though. I love how they mix so many kinds of music into their songs. They have rap,hip hop, rock, industrial, and alternative all mixed into one big ball of kick assness! This is truly a band of the future. While I love this cd, and even though this is a review for the EP, I think some of there newer music like points of authority, with you, and plaster are almost absolutely perfect. If they keep makeing songs like the ones I have pointed out they will be HUGE some day. I see them geting on mtv in the next 1-2 years or sooner if they keep all there songs as good as or better than what they have made. If I had to rate the songs that are on the cd (this means not counting Points of Authority, With You, and Plaster) I would give this cd an 8 out of 10, because its one of the few cd's I have thats completely different from everything else and is so damn original.
