November-6-2000 As I'm sure you frequent visitors remembered, I'm gone every other weekend, which is why you didn't see any updates. I just got about 30 new live pictures of the band, and they will be up very soon. Sometime tonight after I go to school. We are getting good feedback on the "Opening Acts Suggestions". By this time next week I will probably make a poll with the most frequently suggested bands. That is of course if you people all continue to send in suggestions. I dont care how many. You can all send in 20 f'n suggestions if you feel like it. Just email me. However the contest isn't getting as good as feedback as the opening act thing is. Please people go and read the contest section, and get yourself hooked up. But also remember that when you send me a contest entry that you send me you email, name, address. If you have already sent in a contest entry, please send me that information now, cuz I deleted all your emails on accident. But to all those who haven't entered, DO! It's pretty damn easy! November-2-2000Getmusic.com has released an incredible little section on Linkin Park you can go to it by clicking on the picture to the left here. There is a video interview, a bio/review thing, a questionaire with 2 of the band members. Its just plain awesome! Check it out. On a totally un-Linkin Park related note, I downloaded the new Limp Bizkit cd and have concluded the following. NEARLY ALL OF IT BLOWS HARDCORE! Seriously. Linkin Park is about 20 times better than Limp Bizkit. The only fairly good songs are My Way, Take A Look Around, Hold On, and MAYBE the chorus from Rollin. And even those songs arent that good. Dont waste your cash. Your better off to buy a second or third copy of "Hybrid Theory" so that you can have one in every room of your house :-) -Tom November-1-2000 In its first week available "Hybrid Theory" has sold over 45,000 copies and is currently #16 on the Billboard Charts. Thats freaking amazing people. Chester Bennington and his wife have just had their 4th anniversary. YEA FOR THEM!! Chester has also shaved his head except for two devil horns. Thats pretty damn cool if you ask me. Not that I worship the devil, but I just think it would look pretty tight. -Tom November-1-2000 There was rumor that Linkin Park is going to headline their own tour in a few months. One question that has been coming up, is what band would they be bringing along with them to open for them? While I still think that it would be better for Linkin Park to open for Incubus and tour America, I dont see that happening any time soon. So here is what I'm asking of all of you. Tell me the bands that you think LP should have open for them and I will take some of the most frequent requests, make a poll for all my visitors to vote on. Then I will send the results to the band to see what they think. So PLEASE email me your suggestions on who the band should have open for them if they go on a headlining tour. -Tom 
November-1-2000If you remember, Linkin Park was going to be selling some necklaces on a chain. There were to be an L and a P. The female version was going to have a heart in the middle. For some reason I was kind of imagining these to be something like the "LP" logo in the little square that you can see on some of the posters, and on the TShirt, and on the inside of the cd and things like that. However I was wrong and it just ended up being simply those little cube letters on a chain. Kinda dissapointing, but still cool because..ITS LINKIN PARK! Here is a preview of the girls necklace. November-1-2000I had totally forgotten about the guitar world magazine article. You can all kill me if you'd like, but its up in the reviews section now. Sorry about the long wait if you haven't seen it yet. It's pretty cool though. Even though in the actual article it looks as if there is a big pipe going through Brad's neck. I asked him about it. He says that it is actually behind him, and the photographer was just dumb or something, cuz I dont think that it was supposed to be there. I think that its funny. NOT ONLY DOES HE WEAR HEADPHONES..HE HAS A PIPE STUCK THROUGH HIS NECK! That silly ol' Big Bad Brad. -Tom November-1-2000 Here are some sale numbers since the album came out. Now people new to the band will be able to go and read more about them without having to ask me a million times, clog up the message board, or ask the band the same stupid questions over and over again in interviews :-) -Tom October-30-2000 The Linkin Park chat was sort of uneventfull, but all in all it was cool for the fans to be able to ask the band some questions. But trust me, the guys are a ton more fun to ask then questions, but more importantly just hang out with them in general and talk about whatever. Even though I'm fairly sure that they thought I was a loser, that's beside the point :-) Soundbreak will be featuring Linkin Park tommorow in a "Pump and Dump" feature. You will go there and vote. "Hybrid Theory" sold over 10,000 copies on the 24th alone. Assuming people continued to buy it, that has them at about 20 something thousand copies sold already in only 3 days of availability. I also have taken the liberty of updating the dates to the most accurate ones I can come up with. These dates were given to me by someone who works in the music business, and is affiliated with Linkin Park., and so I assume that these dates are as close to right as we are going to get for right now. I am referring mostly to the Papa Roach dates since who freaking knows whats going to happen with them. They will change around a ton I'm sure. They are just estimates. And Yesterday..haha it was funny, I was at this bookstore/music place, and I saw the billboard magazine (which just happens to have a Linkin Park add on the back of it) and I turned all the magazines making the Linkin Park Add face out and lined them all up so that if you were to walk down the aisle, it was just like..NOTHING BUT LINKIN PARK staring at you the whole way. Back in the day Brad Delson was neighbors with Mark Wakefield (one of Linkin Park's old vocalists before Chester joined. Mark is now Taproots manager). The two of them were in a band called The Pricks before Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory, Xero) was formed. It is also possible that Mike Shinoda was a part of The Pricks as well but thats not for sure. The "Hybrid Theory" cd is officially set to release on October 24th, and is STAYING THERE. So ignore the rumors. The cd is coming on the 24th. Period. Now moving on. Here is a news quote from the PRP, "Linkin Park have now been added to the upcoming "Little Nicky" Soundtrack as well as the upcoming "MTV Return Of The Rock Vol 2" compilation. The "Little Nicky" Soundtrack is set to hit stores through Maverick/Warner on Halloween, October 31st and will feature tracks from Insolence the Deftones and more, while the new "Return Of The Rock" CD will hit shelves on November 7th through Roadrunner and will include material from Disturbed, Papa Roach among others.
