Rollers on Merv Griffin Show (1-23-79)

Songs played: Back On The Street  (Eric Faulkner as lead vocalist)
Love Brought Me Such A Magical Thing  (Stuart Wood as lead vocalist)

Instruments: Alan Longmuir: keyboards
Stuart Wood: bass
Eric Faulkner: electric guitar
Duncan Faure: electric guitar
Derek Longmuir:  drums

With the sudden departure of lead vocalist Leslie McKeown, the Rollers seemed to scramble for songs that they could play by using the other two well-known vocalists in the group.  Duncan Faure, looking extremely well-fit, plays guitar and sings backup.  What's most memorable about this show is that the cameras catch a fan who is gazing up at the group in wonderment.  It seems even after all these years and even with Les McKeown gone, the group still had a strong hold on its many devoted fans.

When interviewed by Merv Griffin, the Rollers make mention that the jet they were in nearly crashed in Edinburgh, Scotland.  They also talk about Leslie now has a solo career.
