Fledging girl-group Girl Thing are frustrated that they're constantly compared with the Spice Girls, and blame their record company for promoting them as another Spice-style group. The teenage band were created in the same formulaic way as the "Wannabe" stars, through an advert in Britain's Stage newspaper, and they're even managed by the Spice Girls ex-boss Simon Fuller. **************

But, according to the pink-haired singer Michelle Barber, they're nothing like the "Goodbye" superstars. Michelle says, "We are getting compared to the Spice Girls quite a lot, but at the end of the day we are not them. Yes, we are five girls who have individual personalities, but that's it. "We are not trying to be the Spice Girls, it's our record company that is touting us as their successors.
