For 3 whole weeks in Nov 2000, Girl Thing went on their first ever promotional tour of Asia, New Zealand and Japan. From 6-25 November
Girl Thing Arrived in Tokyo Japan, on a chilli morning and went shopping, before going to the hotel where they were staying. A few Japanese fans met Girl Thing in the lobby and were very happy to receive Girl Thing toys (a small vinyl chair with the famous Girl Thing logo on it) and small white business cards for promotion.
The next morning, Girl Thing had a very busy day, promoting themselves at the Japanese BMG doing many interveiws at the record compony's offices, so they didn't get to see their fans so much, only late at night in the hotel lobby again. The Japanese fans are really sweet and gave many presents to the girls and in typcail Japanese style, took LOADS of photo's! :-)After dinner the girls had loads of time to chat with the fans in the hotel, they made a lot of people really happy! While in Tokyo, Linzi was still a little sick, Let's all hope she still enjoyed her time there though! Unfortuneatly she didnt get to go shopping as often because her throat hurt to much.
After two or three very busy days in Tokyo, doing loads of interveiws and TV recordings, Girl Thing went to another Japanese city called Nagoya, there they did a showcase to promote their Japanese album which is being released on 22 November 2000. It will include many tracks not availableon the European versions.
Next stop was Taipai, Taiwan, where they arrived on a very wet and rainy Sunday. Girl Thing laughed it off and just said that it reminded them of a typical English summers day. As always they were greated by many adoring Taiwanese fans taking millions of photo's of the girls, and giving them many posters, cds and postcards to sign, the girls are very kind and sweet and always sign posters and pose for pictures, and everyone always say how nice and down to earth they are. That is good because the girls build up a very loyal and stable fan base that way.

They preformed at a showcase in Taiwan, singing to their fans and once again meeting compitition winners and posing for pictures. The preformed 5 songs from their debut album. Last One Standing, Girls One Top, Last goodbye and Youg Free Happy and Sometime You Hit, Sometimes You Miss.

After the girls left Taiwan, the went to Australia, and they had a lot of fun there. The said that they enjoyed Australia the most out of all the countries they have visited so far and Anika even said she is moving there when they visited the beautiful beach. The Girls had a great laugh and they did a few preformances
