Hi! my name is Chris and I live in Wrexham, North Wales. I was born in Wem, Shropshire and moved to Wrexham about 1978. My interest in music started at an early age when my father who ran a showband used to let me come on stage and turn his music pages over while he played the organ. This eventually led to me playing bass guitar in his band. Later I found myself picking up the piano quite quickly (this was a very heavy instrument and it didn't do my back much good). The next instrument I went on to was the guitar (this time with six strings) and at the moment play a Fender Squire Strat (red) after owning many other models.

I am a big Paul McCartney fan and I love the way he writes his songs, he makes it look so easy but believe me if it was that easy we'd all be rich!! Cleeshay has been a big part of all our lives and we are like a second family. We mainly gig at weekends and I hope people enjoy the music as much as we do. I feel that if the band are happy on stage (and we usually are) then this rubs off on the audience and they have a good time too, I feel this is one of the reasons for our continued success.

We have always played live on stage, which these days is a rare thing what with backing tapes and midi files being all to prevalent, these gimmicks I suppose do have their place in modern music but we care not to use them.

Over the years I have spent some time in recording studios doing several different projects these include Cargo Studio in Rochdale, The Cottage Studio in Maccelsfield and Aber Studio in Flint North Wales. I love working in studios and hope to do it again soon although the real buzz is in performing live on stage. Well! I hope you`ve enjoyed my little read and I will write some more, maybe about studio life but for now be happy and keep rockin ... Chris.
