London Rats

Yay for London. This summer I went to London, I was only there for a couple of days, and I was really tered from the plane ride over there, but it was still great. I love London, though it is a bit scary in places as any big city would be. The scaries thing that happened was a run-in with a guy on something and a rat pulled out of nowhere. We were doing the whole turist thing and some guy was trying to sell a magazine they sell over there for £1, and it helps out the homeless. That is about $1.60, or something. Well we were all posed for a picture when he came up to us so we all said no thatnk you, but he kept persisting, we didn't want one so my good friend Danni said, "We are trying to take a picture here," or something like that. He did not leave, he just got angry. He muttered stuff like, "Oh come on its only a pound," and such stuff like that. To which Danni replied, "You need to leave, we are tring to take a picture," again, not sure if she said exactly that, but its close. Then he said, "Well how would you like a nice London Rat?!?" And while he said that he reached into the beyonds behind him and pulled out a rat and then thrusted it into Danni's face. As this was going on, some of us were watching, some of us were trying to ignore it, some of us were just oblivious, and others of us were fumbling with cameras trying to sort them out. When the guy stuck the rat in Danni's face our good friend Javier jumped up from where he was kneeling (he was next to Danni) and was suddenly inbetween Danni and the guy. Javier talked to the guy and he hung around for a bit and then we all took the picture and then we started to walk and the guy followed us a bit and Jaier talked to him, and then the guy went away. So, that's my story about how London is scary. I still want to go back to london, but I would like to take along a big strong guy who has a black belt in something to come along to protect me. Eventually I will add to this section by putting up more pictures of my trip in london.

This was our first stop, our first day in London and we were so excited to see a taxi!!

This is before our little tour on the Thames river. A very nice river. And the tour guid was like those silly people on the Jungle cruise at Disneyland

Well this is Westminster Abby. Great fun was had by all here, but we couldn't take the tour inside because we had to get to get to the Globe Theater so we could stand for 3 hours watching Cleopatra and Mark Antony.

these are some lovely buildings that can be seen from the Thames. They look very london-esque.

This is a cute little burger place that was on the Thames.

These are some crazy people looking at the eclipse from a london street. See the cute store behind them? Isn't is the cutest!

Here is the Palace. Please becareful not too meow at strangers in this area. You may get some odd looks if you do.

Here is a crazy statue of a crazy guy made from crazy gold. Very pretty in person I must say.

Here is the restored Globe Theatre. A very lovely place, but be sure to get a real seat, because its not the much fun to stand to watch a show if there aren't enough people to make sure that you are standing.

A very nice view of the Globe Theatre, not taken by me.

Yay for the best musical ever! We love Les Mis. We were sitting in the 3rd row, it was so nice, and the voices of the people were awesome. I saw it in L.A. too, but it was not nearly as great as this show was.
