The Dope Show This video is one of my favorites; it starts off with Marilyn walking through a field in his white body suit (yes, the infamous 'i'm naked and i have breasts' suit, which started the rumor that he got breast implants). He's walking towards the camera singing, and it's cutting to scenes of a weird building, and two people wearing sort of KKK type uniforms. They are moving their arms up and down in opposite time with the other, facing each other. The next scene shows them capturing Marilyn. You know those long metal rods that have loops at the end to put around an animals throat so they can keep it captive from a distance? They each have one of those, and have him caught from both sides. Then, it shows Marilyn lying on a gurney, with a bunch of people pushing it along. He's looking up at them, he looks terrified, and his body randomly convulses, and his hands shake. (no wonder this place seems like a hospital; he's acting like he's about to die) We cut to a limo with Marilyn sitting in the back wit his agent (the epitome of a money-hungry, shallow sellout) and a bunch of 'beautiful' people (the rich Hollywood type) laughing and drinking. The agent is going back and forth between trying to impress the people (who just keep laughing) and talking to Marilyn about his publicity (we see him showing Marilyn Spin Magazine, and he is on the cover). He offers Marilyn a drink, and then laughs, because he can't take it. Marilyn is apparently naked and all white, (no, teenage girls, you cannot see anything. Read my 'Marilyn Policy') he's wearing this weird black plastic tube that connects at his mouth, then splits into two parts and goes to his chest. I don't know what this is, if it is some fictional device from the frightening, amazing depths of Marilyn's mind, or some kind of real torture/pleasure/medical device, I am not sure. I'll leave that to wander through your mind. It cuts back to Marilyn in the body suit, who is now walking along rather crookedly, his arm is held back awkwardly and he seems to be limping. It cuts back between there and the limo. After a while, we cut to a new scene, a public area where there are large amounts of people trying to get to Marilyn. All the cops are wearing pink, and two of them start kissing. Marilyn and the band are now performing on a stage. Marilyn has changed again (ever get the feeling that he's a chameleon? Only he doesn't blend in, he changes to stick out. just a thought...) and is now wearing a long sequined jacket (red) and pants (also red). His makeup is now a kind of sunset blend on his eyes (red, fading to orange, fading to yellow.). He's wearing pink lipstick, and the usual white background, and he looks very effeminate. (And in my opinion, very beautiful) He's singing into a tiny microphone. We then see a room with Marilyn again in his white body suit, surrounded by porcelain people that all look like replica's of him. He breaks them all by taking one and swinging it around and around. Later, we see a disfigured woman dancing in the room. She's wearing a white dress. She has very skinny legs and arms (a dope victim, we are meant to believe) and she's very short. The video ends with Marilyn walking through the field, the same way as before.
