Downdriven has been together now for nearly 5 years and has been serving up some of the heaviest metalcore western NY has ever experienced, opening for such established acts as Down, Pro Pain, Overkill, Candiria, and Earth Crisis. They have also released numerous demos, and a full length CD(Mindset Truth-2001).

Staying true to the vein and unabridged by passing trends, they combine lightning fast ,super tight drumming with precision guitaring, thick bass, and anger fueled screaming and singing to bring a new sound to a dying scene: old roots with new branches. Many have compared their styles with the likes of Pantera, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Throwdown, Fear Factory and old school Machinehead.

Fans who have seen Downdriven live know that their sledgehammering music and electric live shows bring a comfortable reminder back to old school metal fans, and a new path for failed nu metal fans:
