mankind review from rockrage:

Factory 81 is for those who really love their tunes aggressively heavy and intense.

The Detroit natives like to juice up their metal aggravations by mixing in elements of other music genres such as jazz and hip-hop, minus any heavy rapping. Although Factory 81’s sound is heavy, it still comes through with vast melodies found throughout Mankind. At times flashes of former Rage Against the Machine singer Zack De La Rocha comes barreling through, like on “14 Left.” The string teamwork of guitarist Schultz and bassist Lewis carry the energetic vibe, but to my ears it’s really the drums of Cyrulnik that grabs you’re attention, particularly on “Rotten Strawberries.” Other thrashers include “Belligerence,” and “Diary of a Serial Killer.” The last track is actually a more dance-oriented remix of the second track “Peace Officer.”

Oh, yeah. Don’t forget that elusive hidden track. We won’t tell you what number track it is, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure this one out. If you’re into bands similar to the likes of Korn, Taproot, Nonpoint, or Crazy Town then Factory 81 manufactured this album for you.
