mankind review from the gauntlet:

Factory 81, based out of Detroit Rock City, sound like they should be from La-La land judging by their debut 11 track disc. Blending that B-boy style with the genre standard vocals that go from whispers to screams on the drop of a dime with some heavy ass riffs ("Belligerence") and bottom rumbling rhythms thrown in, these guys have got the whole nu metal act down to a science ("Peace Officer"). Shades of Deftones and Downset are very apparent here, yet Factory 81 still manage to give off their own unique vibe as well. Maybe it's because these guys write long songs (no song on the disc is under 4 minutes), and they hammer out a lot within that time frame to give the listener more bang for their buck. If you like the new sounds that hard rock makes these days, chances are Factory 81 is something for you.
