article from mega kung fu:
I guess I don't get out much cause there is a buzz going around that is breaking through nationwide. That buzz is an intense invasion brought to you by none other than Factory 81. Pure cold fusion of such acclaimed acts as The Deftones/Incubus/Tool with a little somethin' somethin' of their own make up the compound of this pack of rabid dogs. "Nanu" is a brutal collision of the metal/rap offspring Factory 81 has plucked from within the bowels of all our hatreds and beliefs. The furious guitars licks and sticking drum beats elevate you to another level of the "open mind". The basslines drain the life right from your veins, leaving you numb from the waist down. Igniting a ball of fire under you is "Diary of a Serial Killer". The grating guitars pierce through your skull as Nate throws a haymaker at ya, belting you in the jaw, realizing you're in for a long night. The vocals are so prominent and full of irate and snapping portrayals of where these guys want you to bring your mindset. These guys could baffle you if you tried to pinpoint what's about to overturn your entire universe. Wickedness is brewing when the tribal drums and subtle ax riffs lead you into "Sludge", a nasty dose of pure brain stomping psychosis. Your mind swells when the crippling growls escape Wallace's vocal chords, leaving your mother cleaning out your Fruit of the Loom's for at least two hours with bleach and your Dad's toothbrush. All in all, for a band I am hearing for the first time, I found a lot of talent roaming within. Though with future efforts, I am sure these guys will leave you with a nasty addiction that doesn't surprise me. They have a great level of creativity and a promising future. On the Nick Scale: 6 out of 10.....Production and the rap/metal has reached it's toll on me (Nothing Personal)
