Hello, my name is Baby. I am a black and tan smooth coated miniature dachshund. I was born May 17, 1989. I think I look good for nearly 10, don't you? My father was Meda's Little Boy and My mother was Little Bit of Poppy. Poppy was my human's dog also and we lost her last year. We still miss her. I was born with a heart defect so I stayed with my mother and human. I have done very well over the years, only having problems if I eat to fast.

I am the most dignified of us girls. I don't go for the petty foolishness that the others consider fun. I do not demand a lot of attention and am happy in my own bed as long as I have a blanket to crawl under (except at night, of course, then I share the big bed with mom and the other girls). I am the hunter extraordinary. My greatest moment was when I found the mouse at a friend of my mom's. I still don't understand why she turned so red. I didn't realize that humans can change colors.

I do not "talk" like the other girls but I will speak in a low pleasant tone. My specialty is sitting up. My balance is unbelievable and I can sit up on almost anything and hold the pose for the longest time. This works remarkably well to get me a tasty bite or two.

Thank You Dr. Mel and Dr. Buckman and staff of Animal Hospital of Havasu for your tender loving care during my recent hospitalization.
