Teddy bears are another popular collectible item that have had Princess Diana's name attached. Most of the bears feature some characteristic that can be associated closely with Diana, others are simply a bear with a logo t-shirt or holding a rose.
In many cases, companies have used these items to raise money for various charities, the most successful project of this sort being the Ty Beanie Baby Bear, which raised millions of dollars donated to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. Other companies have used the idea merely to raise profits for themselves, knowing that many collectors will bite at anything with Diana's name. Hey, add a tiara, a rose or a gown & call it Princess--SOMEBODY will buy it.
