The crosses in the Calvary scene are pieces of thin
copper wire with brown thread wrapped around them.
This is an odd angle. It doesn't really sit crooked even though it looks like it does. That's a dirt path running between the eggs and the scroll says:
"The child of Bethlehem walked the road to Calvary"
