Yvette Pointer-Chatman was born on December 9,1952, in Chicago, Ill. She grew up in the windy city throughout her childhood, teen and most of her adult life. Yvette graduated from George Washington Carver High in 1971. She worked as a councelor at Garfield Alternative High School for 12 years. In this time she had three children Kamal, Kenisha and Jamia. She later moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1988, where she lived for 13 years, 10 of which she worked diligently at PICA Head Start as an awesome preschool teacher. She now lives in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, she has 4 grandchildren and 2 stepgrandchildren whom love their "grammy" dearly. She now suffers from fibromyalgia and other injuries from a horrible car accident in 1999, but her hopes are always high. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her love and dedication to Him has let her see 50 years.
