Calculator ScreensThe following are a series of screen captures from our math guru's graphing calculator, along with an accompanying explanation. Individual pictures are just a click away.Home

DNA
This picture resulted from a habit of our math guru: faking features on his calculator to make others believe that the calculatro can do things like, say, analyze DNA. |
Picture of an Atom
This is another of the set of pictures of faked features. This one is of an atom with electron orbits. The menu at the bottom is the [graph] menu. |
Onion
This picture is from a series of unusual graphs without a faked feature assosciated with them. This one was produced with a sine-cosine plotting program using 6 sets of variables. |
Coil
This picture, another in the set of cool graphs, was made with a set of two interrupted sine graphs. Our artist added two horizontal lines, causing the sine graphs to appear to disappear behind a solid bar, threby creating an illusion of a 3-D image (so it also qualifies as a faked feature: 3-D images). |
Splitting Graph
This graph, which resides solely in the set of cool graphs, was created with a set of absolute value functions, exponential functions, sines/cosines, and shading. |
