The Shadow Temple

Kakariko Village Well

This level is fairly small, but confusing. As soon as you drop down, kill the spider and uhh walk through the wall ahead of you. Watch out of holes in the floor. I’ll warn you when a hole is coming. Go left and then take a right and walk down the long hallway. Head right again and play Zelda’s Lullaby on the triforce. Go back to the beginning going the same way you came. Fall down the large pit. Go through the hole. Keep going climb the vines and you’ll be facing a boss. Just let the hands grab you, then just press buttons like mad until they release you. You should’ve seen the big guy pop out. When his head comes down, hit it with your sword. Keep doing this until he’s dead and you’ve got the Lens of Truth. This level isn’t as small as that though. There are 3 golden skulltulas in this place. With the Lens of Truth, you will to actually see the hidden walls. There are some locked doors, and most of the keys are hidden in the walls.

Shadow Temple

If you tried to enter the temple before, you’ll notice that you can’t enter without the Lens of Truth. Play the Nocturne of Shadow and go down the stairs. Light the torches with Din’s Fire. Enter the door, then cross the pit with the nice new longshot. Turn your lens on and walk through the door. On your left you will see a wall you can walk through. In this room keep going until you see a wall on the other side. On the other end of this room you will find another wall. Go through to face the same kind of monster in the well. Beat him to get the hover boots. You may have thought you could have float in these things forever, but you can only float for a very short time. Go back to the main room. Find the skull that does not disappear, then turn the wall until the bird is facing it. Run over the ledge to reach the other side. In the room you will see a laser shoting eye. Go left and collect the five silver rupees while trying not to get your head cut off. You will get a key for doing this. Exit this room and go left and blow up the wall. Coming up are some annoying spiders. At the end of this part, watch out for the blades falling. You will now be in the big room. Jump across the pits and avoid the falling blades. At the large platform you will meet a stalfos. Using some moves he will be dead in no time. Jump on the moving platform and go to where the whirling blade is. Get the rupees (one is inside the laser guy so kill it with a bomb) and go through the door. With th lens of truth, look to the right to find a block. Pull it out and push it down the path until it is between in the middle of the path. Go to the other side and pull it until the path stops. In one of the gates you will find a gold skulltula. Climb the block, then get all the treasures, and make sure you press the button to get a key. Go back to the large room. Near where you collected the silver rupees, there is a small pathway where a falling blade is. Use your lens to spy the two platforms. Enter the door. Use your lens to see the spikes. Collect all the silver rupees by using hookshot targets. A door will open. Take the bomb flower in here and toss it into the skull moving thing to get a key. You will also find a golden skulltula here. You must kill the bats for the door to open. Go to the locked door by using your hookshot in the other room. Put your iron boots on, and keep going until there is a drop in front of you. Use your hookshot to grapple onto the wood above you. Keep the iron boots on. The room in front of you is not really important, it just tells you a hint. Turn on the lens of truth, then to your left you will see a door. With your hover boots and help from the fan behind you, you will make it across. You will see a pile of dirt to your right, so blow it up with a bomb. Use the lens of truth to see th invisible chest containing a key. In the next room use the block to reach the ladder on the other side of the room. On the triforce, play Zelda’s Lullaby to start up the ship. While it is in motion you will have to fight some stalfos. Look to your left for a platform. Jump on it to avoid the sinking of the ship. This room is confusing. There are some invisible walls and some hand flying things, so use the lens of truth. Go to the door on the right and use Din’s Fire to burn the spikes and wood walls to open the shiny and colorful design on the boss key chest. Go to any of the other rooms to get any other treasures and a key. Go out into the room you came. Shoot an arrow into the bomb flowers across from to have a statue make a bridge for you. Cross it, then enter the door. With the lens of truth, jump on the platforms to enter the boss’s room.

Bongo Bongo

Bongo Bongo will play a short tune with his hands, which are very important in defeating him. Z target a hand and fire an arrow. Do the same to the other hand. With the Lens of Truth, you will be able to see his head. Quickly shoot another arrom into his eye, then go and use your to sword to hit him in the eye. Repeat this until his dead. Jump into the portal with another heart container.
