"Wishes"

I wish I had a crystal ship
with sails of silver thread,
I'd fly above the rainbows
beyond the stars ahead.

I wish I had a colored ball
that glistened in the light,
a prism made of wishes
to guide me on my flight.

I wish I had a looking glass
thats never seen me cry,
I'd put it in my knapsack
for a trip across the sky.

Wishes to soon shattered
no time for make believe,
but thoughts allowed to wander
oh, the magic they would weave.
