Directions
Note: When you get into town, go buy a map and all this will make sense!
Hawes
From the Tempe, Phx area, get on 60 heading East.
Take the Power Rd. exit(about 15 mi. from Tempe) and head left(north) on Power Rd.
Continue North on Power Rd for about five miles until you hit McDowell.
Make a left(west) on McDowell.
At about one mile, turn right on Recker.
About one mile ahead on your left is a park. This is where we are meeting for the Hawes ride.
Pima/Dynamite
From the Tempe Area, Take the 101 north until you get to the 90th st/Pima rd exit.
Make a right and stay on this street. You will head North through some heavy construction,
and detours for about ten miles. Go with the flow, and don't worry, you'll get there.
Continue North until you reach the intersection of Pima and Dynamite. You'll know it's
coming because the intersection is under a massive powerline structure.
When you get to the intersection, try to find parking on the SouthEast Corner of the intersection.
There should be room for everyone there.
Rawhide
Probably the best way to get to Rawhide from 101 north would be to get off on Shea Blvd. and go left (west). Keep going until you get to Scottsdale Road and turn right (north) on Scottsdale Road. Stay on Scottsdale Road for
about 6-8 miles (educated guess) and Rawhide is on the right side of the road. You can't miss it. There's a big sign and an old covered wagon and all that old west stuff.
South Mountain
If you are in Tempe, head to Priest. Head south on Priest to Baseline.
Turn Right onto Baseline. Turn left onto 48th st. You will be turning into The Point Resort.
As you enter, you will come to a circle.
Be in the Right lane, and take the first right. You will be driving through the resort.
The road will turn slightly to the Right and you will come to a Stop sign.
Take a Left at the sign, and head up the hill. At the top of the hill you will be in
the land of many speedbumps and Stop signs. After a very ridiculous quarter mile or so,
after the last speed bump, and stop sign, you will see a guard station to your right.
This is the way you want to go. Head to the end of the road, to parking and the ramadas.
Sedona
From Phx, get on the 10 heading westbound. On the West side of town, take the 17 North(Flagstaff) exit.
Basically, stay on 17 for a dang long time(80 minutes or so), until you reach the 179(Sedona) exit.
Take a left, and continue straight for probably 12 miles. You will reach the village of Oak Creek.
When you see Bell Rock(big red bell shaped rock formation) ahead, look for the Circle K on your right.
Right after the Circle K is the Bell Rock Parking lot. This is where we will be parking for the rides,
and parking may have to spill over into the nearby neighborhood.
