After being briefly sidelined with legal hassles, 'NSYNC is back on track with a new single and video that gives fans a taste of what awaits on the group's upcoming album and tour. While the boy band's next CD, "No Strings Attached," doesn't arrive until March 21, the group debuted the album's first single, "Bye Bye Bye," last week.
A video is in the works as well, and the clip is expected to debut on MTV's "Making The Video" next week. For the shoot, the guys teamed up with director Wayne Isham, who has lensed clips for everyone from Backstreet Boys to Metallica to Ricky Martin to Mötley Crüe. "The concept of this video, even though we look like fashion victims right now, is all about speed," 'NSYNC's J.C. Chasez told MTV during the "Bye Bye Bye" shoot. "We just want a fast paced video. We're saying 'bye,' and in every scene we're leaving. We came up with a concept, the song is a love song, but it's about kissing somebody off. They burned you and now they want you back and you're like, 'Sorry.'"
While the video arrives next week, it will still be a while before the guys hit the road. 'NSYNC is planning a world tour that is tentatively set to kick off in May.
Meanwhile, 'NSYNC is nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, both for the group's collaborations with veteran acts. The group grabbed one nomination for its pop collaboration with Miami mama Gloria Estefan on "Music Of My Heart," and another for the country-style "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You" that teamed 'NSYNC with Nashville old timers Alabama.
'NSYNC will see how they fare when the awards are doled out on February 23 in Los Angeles, and MTV News will be there to bring you complete coverage of the evening.
