We have Alpines, Toggenburgs, Nubians, and are tinkering with Experimentals this year as well. We breed our animals for show quality and milk production. We participate in linear appraisal, CAE testing and prevention, and DHIR for some does. In the past we have maintained our own bucks, but this year have decided to sell our bucks in order to allow a broader base for selective breeding and more variety for improving or sustaining breed standards.
We began our herd several years ago with one Nubian doe and an Alpine doeling. We soon joined the show circuit and progressed into a strict breeding program. We have an intensive disease-prevention program and vaccinate/worm regularly. CAE testing is done annually on all adult animals and animals that are new to our herd.
We offer a limited amount of stock each year for sale. We may make exceptions for things such as 4-H, as we strongly support youth-related activities to keep the goat industry progressing into the next generation. Our 4-H prices are greatly reduced and we choose not to post them on the site. (Please call or email for details).
