Just a few pictures to remember one of the finest men I have known, and one of my best friends. What many don't realize is that L. V. was so much involved with young people. Over 30 years ago, when he was my age, he volunteered to work summer camps that I supervised, and was quick to volunteer for any service and offer the kind of advice that only he could. For several years we took kids back-packing, one of his passions. He supplied the equipment and food for most of them, and they learned to love him, too. Take a good look. God broke the mold, and there aren't any more like him. And the world is a little brighter for his memory.
