III.    THE LABOR AND SUFFERING OF THE PROPHET BEFORE AND

        AFTER THE CONQUEST AND DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM

        (ch. 34-45).

A.      PROPHECIES DELIVERED UNDER ZEDEKIAH, AND EVENTS OF JEHOIAKIM’S

          TIME – OBEDIENCE vs. DISOBEDIENCE (ch. 34-36).

          1.       Concerning Zedekiah and the emancipation of the men-servants and maid-servants, -

                   shameful breach of a solemn covenant (ch. 34).

                   a.  Message to Zedekiah:  the fruitlessness of resistance to

                             the Chaldeans’ power (vs. 1-7).
