ACTS FIVE - SUMMARY

I.        ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA( vs. 1-11 ).

A.        PEOPLE INVOLVED - Ananias and Sapphira, Peter.

B.         THINGS TO REMEMBER:

            1.         Ananias and Sapphira lied about how much they gave.

            2.         Their lie was not to men but to the Holy Spirit.

            3.         They could have kept their money but they wanted glory of men.

            4.         They lost their lives.

            5.         Great fear came upon the whole church.

II.       THE MIRACLES AND FAME OF THE APOSTLES( vs. 12-16 ).

A.        MANY WERE HEALED.

B.         MANY BELIEVED.

III.      THE APOSTLES AGAIN CAST INTO PRISON( vs. 17-42 ).

A.        PEOPLE INVOLVED - The high priest and the Saducees.  The apostles, and angel, Gamaliel.

B.         THINGS TO REMEMBER:

            1.         The angel releases the apostles and send them back to the temple to preach.

            2.         They are sent for but are not found in the prison.

            3.         They are brought in from the temple without violence.

            4.         The accusation of the high priest.

            5.         We must obey God rather than men.

            6.         You slew God's Prince and Savior.

            7.         The Holy Spirit with us is a witness of these things.

            8.         Gamaliel's defence.

            9.         The apostles joy in spite of persecution.

IV.     THE PREACHING OF JESUS AS THE CHRIST( vs. 42 ).
