ACTS THREE -  SUMMARY

I.        THE CURE OF THE LAME BEGGAR( vs. 1-10 ).

A.        PEOPLE INVOLVED - Peter, John, a man who had been lame all his life.

B.         THINGS TO REMEMBER:

            1.         The man was at the gate call "Beautiful" at the temple.

            2.         He was there everyday and was well known.

            3.         He expected money from Peter but got much more.

            4.         Because of the miracle, he was caused to praise God.

            5.         Those who knew him took knowledge of the miracle and were amazed.

II.       PETER'S SECOND RECORDED SERMON( vs. 11-26 ).

A.        WHO PERFORMED THE MIRACLE?  GOD DID IT.

B.         IT WAS DONE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST.

            1.         He was the one that God glorified.

            2.         He was the one they insisted be put to death when Pilate would have released

                        him.

            3.         They preferred that a murderer be turned loose rather than Jesus.

            4.         The one they had killed was the Prince of life.

C.        PROOFS

            1.         "We are witnesses of these things."

            2.         Faith in the name of Jesus Christ made the lame man walk, and they were all

                        witnesses to that fact.

            3.         All these things were the fulfillment of prophecy.

                        a.         Moses( vs. 22-23;  Deut. 18:15-19 ).

                        b.         Samuel and the rest all spoke of these days.

                        c.         The Jews were sons of the prophets and God's covenant with Abraham.

                        d.         The Jews belonged to the Jews first.

D.        THE CALL TO REPENTANCE( vs. 19 - 21 ).
