Untitled #2
you look restlessly--------
still and silent in your chair
eyes flickering --------
back and forth between the walls
waiting, clock to blackboard
seven soldiers like minutes march along
--------
through your eyes
teeth
--------
blazing white in yellowed-parchment sundead flesh
smile thinly --------
thinly like fingers spread against stone
a dark crescent under your nails from picking
plucking at the things set before you
--------
desks and wires and shreds of leaves
turned, your eyes, to the wall again
--------
anxious?
the window barricaded in stone
settle back and forth until your elbows hurt
your knees kink up for release
springs coiling to smash lying mirrors
like the one in your head--------
yes that one
bells gape at you with copper shock
whispers of other bodies, unseen
--------
invisible, empty, pass by
released, your eyes still hammer walls
--------
ring with loathing and patience
bells, chimes, rumbling of doom
as you expected. move on to the next.
