Drafted in 1995, 2nd round (56th overall) by the Phoenix Suns. Signed as a free agent on July 19, 1996. Played high school ball at Arcadia Valley in Pilot Knob, MO. Played in 60 games as a rookie, starting 10...In 50 games off the bench, averaged 3.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in the 1995-96 season.
Chris entered the NBA Draft after his junior season. He started 62 consecutive games as a sophomore and junior. Named 1995 Missouri Valley Comference Player of the Year.

#21 Kevin Garnett
Drafted in 1995, 1st round (5th overall) by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Played high school ball at Farragut Academy in Chicago Ill. First three years of high school ball were at Mauldin High School in Mauldin, S.C. where he averaged 25.2 ppg. 17.9 rpg. 6.7 apg. 6.5 bpg. Kevin was tabbed National High School Player of the Year by USA Today and earned Parade All-American First Team honors. Also named the Most Outstanding Player of the 1995 McDonald's All-America Game.
Kevin is single. His mother's name is Shirley. He has two sisters, Sonya and Ashley. His favorite foods are hamburgers, french fries and Italian. Growing up Kevin was a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, and his sports heroes are Magic Johnson and Tony Dorsett.

#24 Tom Gugliotta
Drafted in 1992, 1st round (6th overall) by the Washington Bullets. Acquired by the Timberwolves via trade from Golden State on February 18, 1995 for Donyell Marshal (suckers). Played college at North Carolina State where he tallied 1,536 points and 820 rebounds in his four years. Only the Third player in school history to pass the 1,500 - point, 800 - rebound plateaus in a career. Was named to the first - team All - ACC squad following his senior campaign.
Tom was born in Huntington Station, N.Y. and played his high school basketball at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station.
Tom scored a career high in points, 39, on Nov. 21, 1992 vs. Utah. In the 1994-95 season Tom ranked third among all NBA forwards in steals, averaging 1.71 spg. Tom also set a club record in the 1995-96 season by averaging 8.8 rebounds per game, surpassing Christioan Laettner's mark of 8.7 set in 1992-93. He also tied Laettner's franchise record of 28 point/rebound double-doubles.

#3 Stephon Marbury
Drafted in 1996, 1st round (4th overall) by the Milwaukee Bucks. Acquired by the Timberwolves via trade from Milwaukee on June 26, 1996 for the draft tights to Ray Allen and future considerations. Stephon was born in Brooklyn,N.Y. and attended high school at Abtaham Lincoln in Brooklyn. He then attended college at Georgia Tech.
Stephon entered the NBA Draft after playing one season of college ball. He was named third-team All-American by Associated Press. Became the eighth Georgia Tech player to be named ACC Rookie of the Year. He led his team and ranked third in ACC in scoring (18.9 ppg). He was also named the ACC Rookie of the Week four times.

#42 Sam Mitchell
Drafted in 1985, 3rd round (54th overall) by the Houston Rockets. Played college ball at Mercer University where he is the all-time scoring leader with 1,985 points. He averaged 25.0 points a game as a senior. Two-time Tans America Athletic Conference First Team selection. Named conference plater of the year as a senior.
Sam scored the first points in Timberwolves franchise history. He was originally signed be the Wolves during their expansion seanon (1989) Plated three seasons with Minnesota before being traded to the Indiana Pacers on Sept. 8. 1992 along with Poog Richardson, For Micheal Williams and Chuck Person. Played two seasons in France's top professional league (1987-1988 and 1988-1989) Spent two seasons in the CBA (1985-1987) Sam has a .446 field goal average. Had a career high scoring 37 points against Philadelphia on Feb. 3, 1991.
Sam is married to Anita and the couple has four daughters. Special education major at Mercer University. Signed his first Timberwolves contract on Director of Player Personnel Billy McKinney's back during warm-ups of the Midwest Revue in San Antonio.

#44 Cherokee Parks
Drafted 1995, 1st round (12th overall) by the Dallas Mavericks. Acdquired via trade from Dallas on June 29, 1996 for trstructuring the conditioons of a Nov. 1, 1994 trade.
Played college ball at Duke. Averaged 19.0 ppg on 50.1 percent shooting with 9.3 rpg and 55 blocks. Scored 20-or-more points 14 times and posted 13 double-doubles in 1994-95. Finished his career as Duke's second all-time leading shot blocker with 211 career rejections.
In 1995-96 had seven games of double-digit scoring. Scored a season high 25 points with seven rebounds Mar. 17 at Portland. Had a four game stretch where he averaged 8.8 ppg on 51.6 percent shooting with 5.3 rebounds in 23.5 minutes.
Cherokee is married to Anne-Marie. He has a tatoo of an apple core on his leg. Secret ambition is to play in a rock band. His favorite sport other than basketball is bowling.

#30 Terry Porter
Terry was drafted in 1985. He was the first round draft pick (24th overall) by the Portland Trailblazers. He played his college ball at Stevens Point and before that played high school ball at South Division High in Milwaukee, Wis.
In the 1995-96 season Terry led the Wolves in assists 41 times. He ranked 22nd in the league by averaging 5.5 apg. He also connected on his 800th career three-pointer Dec. 27 vs. Milwaukee, making him the ninth player in NBA history to reach that mark. Scored the 12.000 point of his career in the April 5th win at Utah and finished the season as one of only five active players to have scored 12,000 points and added 5,00 assists.
Terry ranks tenth all-time in the NBA for three-pointers made, 844, and attempted, 2,232. He is Portland's all-time assist leader with 5,319. Played in the 1991 and 1993 all-star games. Placed second in teh AT&T Long Distance Shootout during NBA All-Star Weekend in both 1991 and 1993.
In college at Stevens Point Terry eraged 13.5 ppg during his four seasons. He was named NAIA first-team All-American as a junior and senior. He led the Pointers to the 1983 NAIA nationalfinals, where the lost to Fort Hays (Kan) State.
Terry is married to Susie and the couple has a daughter, Brianna, and son, Franklin. He was the winner of the 1993 J. Walter Kennedy Award (given for meritorious community service) as voted by the Professional Basketball Writers Association of America. He also started a minority scholarship fund at UW-Stevens Point with a gift of $50,000. Terry was a communications major, he interned at television station WTMJ in Milwaukee, working with the sports department..

Micheal saw action in only nine games before bing sidelined due to a plantar fascia strain in his left heel after appearing just once in the 1994-95 season because of the same injury. Enough said!
