How to Max out the Compensation Plan

1) Enroll 4 customers a month EVERY month! 


You will fill your pipeline, create a nice amount of spillover, set the pace for your team, win most all Promotions, and do what almost all Senior and Executive directors did to reach that status level.   There is no quicker way to get your business back into momentum then personally enrolling 4 a month.

Where can you look to enroll 4 a month

a) Personal contacts (friends, family, business contacts)
b) Referrals
c) Join organizations
d) Networking Events
e) Walk and Talk.  All your friends started as strangers.  Dont be scared to approach anyone

2) Develop a Director every 1 to 4 months

If you are full time, develop a director every month
If you are a Part timer shoot to develop a new director every 3-4 months

Do quality 48 hour follow up training's
Personally do the first few group and 1 on 1 presentations for your personals, and their personals to create a solid director leg

3) Commit to quality enrolling and conduct good                                      customer/business builder follow up

Quality Enrolling Involves
** Explaining the Benefits of the Preferred Customer Program and the 35 pt commitment
*** Having a Membership Kit ($1 this month until the 23rd) on hand to enroll your new customer with
*** Getting the first order when you enroll your new customer (value pack for a business builder is a must), and
*** For 4 months after the month of enrollment, make a quick call to all your customers to make sure they are in the habit of ordering and get your new customers on different lines of products, especially the vitality for life line

4) Always do all the 7 critical activities, and not much else.
 
Almost everything outside these 7 activities on this list in your Membership Kit booklet, titled "7 Critical Business Building Activities" isn't a productive use of your time

5) Celebrate Success

Call the advancements in your organization each month on your business report
Use the MORE and In touch report tools at D3 and higher to call new enrollers, contact new
category 2 and 3 business builders that ordered a value, career or pacesetter pack.
Have quarterly parties, luncheons, dinners, etc. with the new directors on your team
Run internal contests to stimulate growth.

6) Always be Involved with Fast Track (Critical Activity #6) 

Anytime all the Corporate Directors, Presidents Club or top ELC growth leaders (including myself) get together, the two things we all say continue to grow our business is
a) Enrolling and developing new leaders and
b) Fast Track

7) Write down your Melaleuca Goals


Your written down goals should answer these questions

1) How many personal customers will you sign each of the next 12 months?
2) What status in Melaleuca would you like to achieve in 1 yr from today, and what do you have to do each month to achieve that? Refer to the calculator tools on www.melaleuca.com
3) How often will you develop a personal director in the next 12 months?
4) Who will you help in your existing team advance?
5) What hours and days will you set aside to do appointments, trainings
or phone calls/fasttrack each week?


8) MelaleucaNIZE your entire household!

Most senior and executive Directors order 200 or more product points a month, including my household. 

If you are a product of the Melaleuca products, its easier to get others to be too!

9) Work with the right people

Work with those who
a) Have ordered a pack
b) Call you back
c) Are coachable
d) Have completed their 6 steps to success packet and
e) Have a huge WHY and are willing to set aside time each week to make appts

10) Identify your WHY

Why are you going to work hard in Melaleuca? Be specific, dont write "money"

Getting out of debt
College, Retirement Savings
Second Home
New Car
Spouse home with the kids
Sick of your boss and job
Time freedom?

Be specific, cut out that item from a magazine, and post it in your office, and use that as a motivator thru the bad days all of us have on your path to success

11)  Be consistent

No matter what the weather is, or the promotion is, or which holiday is coming up, STAY THE COURSE.  Leaders that consistently enroll, develop leaders, and are their for there organization see much more duplication and growth then those who are on and off like a water faucet.

12) Be Persistent

The word "NO"  is part of our business
I believe in "Some will, some wont, so what, NEXT!!"
Dont let the Nos get you down, you are that much closer to a YES

13) Be Coachable

Attend the Jan 2010 Launch.  Register for August 2010 Convention
Register in my next fast track training, and be engaged in fast track monthly

The phrase is

14) Create a Team

a) Networking events
b) Ask for referrals for MLM or Party Plan folks your friends may know
c) Successful businesspeople, salesman, and/or
d) Folks with a large circle of influence that are well liked

Remember, if you want your business to double in size, find 1 person just like you, if you want your business to triple quickly, find 2!

15) Attend all Events

January (4-9) and May launches are a must, get everyone from your group to go to a location near them

17) Dont mix Activity with Accomplishment

The 7 critical activities spells out all you need to do to be successful.  The more stuff you do thats not revolving around that list, the slower your business will grow

Part timers especially must be EFFICIENT, to be PRODUCTIVE

18) Have a Long Term Commitment-Vision

Close 2009 start, and that will create momentum into 2010 creating, long lasting residual, reliable income stream, but truly successful Marketing Executives dont look at this business in the short term.  They treat it as the real business it is, and have a long term commitment and game plan

To reach and keep a 6 figure income with Melaleuca, for most thats a 5 yr commitment, then a few hours a week to maintain.  Thats a very small price to pay compared to the JOB or Corporate America or even a typical business owner career

19) JUST DO IT!

Dont overanalyze or indulge in the details
Dont procrastinate, or make excuses

In order to be successful in ANYTHING in life, you need to have a JUST DO IT attitude

In Melaleuca thats (setting appointments to sign up new customers for you, and your team weekly), and


20) Create a Specific GAME PLAN

If you want to grow by 400 customers ( Senior Director) status:

If you add 7 customers a week, you will achieve this in 1 yr
If you add 3.5 customers a week, you will achieve this in 2 yrs from now

Lets be realistic.  The rewards are amazing with Melaleuca. 

Make the commitment to spend the time, focus, and energy NOW to make the rest of your life the way you want it to be.  You will be glad you did!

Get to Director 3 as quickly as possible.

The financial difference between Director 2 and a growing Director 3 business is the BIGGEST increase in income Percentage wise in all of the compensation plan

Director 3 = 20 - 25 personal customers on average, 1 personal director, and 50 total customers in your 7 level organization

Director 3s and above receive MONTHLY revenue sharing pools, AND Cash Bonuses (Pacesetter Bonuses if advancing on the pacesetter time schedule)

Once a Director 3, get in the habit of earning 50 leadership points a month as a part timer or 100 leadership points a month as a full timer.

The reason why 50 pt's is so critical, is because if you hit 50 pt avg, your points DOUBLE, so 50 pt's is worth 100, and 100 pt's is worth 200 in the revenue pools monthly!

50 leadership points a month game plan

4 personals a month = 20 pt's
15 presentations for the group where you are the presenter = 30 pt's

total 50 pt's OR

8 personals a month = 40 pt's and
5 presentations for the group = 10 pt's , which also equals 50 pt's

100 points a month game plan

4 personals = 20 pt's, and 40 group enrollments over the course of the month = 80 pt's= 100

OR

8 personals = 40 pt's and 30 group enrollments = 60 pt's, which totals 100 pt's

Many business's in the TOP revenue sharing pools do 200-400 leadership points a month, and if your goal is Senior Director in 6 months or less, your goal should be 200-400 pt's a month

Help your personal business builders advance and earn MENTORING Bonuses

You earn a MENTORING Bonus every time one of your personal business builders advance from Director, all the way to Executive Director, as long as you are at least at the status of the personal you helped advance.

You get these mentoring bonuses on EACH personal customer, so if you help 2-3 or more of your people advance in a month, you can really cash in on the mentoring program

Always focus on "GETTING to the next LEVEL" in the comp plan

Use this model, and compute what you need to do to advance in the next few weeks-months

You can use the Melaleuca Calculator on the web site to figure out what you need to do weekly, monthly to reach your next advancement in the time you want to reach it.
 Work on your first 3 levels 99% of the time.  Understand that helping folks on your 4th level and below wont help you grow much at all, and the key to the entire compensation plan is to

Enroll customers
Develop Directors and
GROW your business monthly

Become efficient by working on your first 3 levels, and work with your personals, and their personals most of the time.

Write down your goals, and create a weekly game plan (part timers), daily game plan( full timers)

Written down goals are much more likely to be achieved then statements we may make , and
Understanding How to Maximize the Compensation Plan
 
Its very important to understand that the three activities you want to be engaged in all the time to reap the maximum return is (1) Enrolling 4+ personal customers a month (2) Developing new Solid Directors, then (3) Helping those Solid Directors advance!
 
Pacesetter Bonuses between Director and Director 9 ( 4 additional levels)  increased from 10,600 to 13,200 (more frequent recognition, advancement and money for pacesetter advancement)  Aim to go from D - D9 in 12 months
 
Senior Director - Senior Director 9 ( 4 additional levels) gives more PEG bonus potential from 50 to 80% of PEG bonuses and they are now more frequent because of "baby step" advancements.Aim to go from SD - SD 9 in 12 months
 
Enrollers Bonus - After you enroll 1 person you earn $25 extra per enrollment and this is a bonus you will earn monthly.
 
Example:  Enroll 4 in a month, and earn $75 extra.  Enroll 8 in a month and earn $175.  Enroll 11 in a month and earn $250 extra.  These customers have to order and be preferred for 2 months then the money is paid out and never retracted
 
More value and security for Directors.  Active Directors and above are guaranteed a $120 a month check This will help cover a persons monthly product purchases
 
Pacesetter MENTORING Bonus allows you to earn bonuses when your PERSONAL ENROLLEES advance. You will want to have the same or higher status then your personals who are advancing to earn this bonus.  As EACH personal you work with goes from Director - Senior Director, Melaleuca is now going to pay you $5000 per personal.  So if you develop 3 new Senior Directors on pacesetter time schedules, that's an EXTRA $15,000.
 
Active Director 3's and above can participate in a monthly Leadership Pool (revenue sharing!)  Melaleuca pays 4% of the total company product points in these pools.  ARI is now one of the factors that determine this.
 
WHAT A NEW Marketing Executive - Director 2 should be doing to Maximize your Income Potential
 
(1) Enroll 8 personals a month until you are a Director 3  ( this will earn you the new $175 Enrollers bonus every month ($25 on each of the 2-8th personal)
 
(2) Get good at the Delivering Wellness Presentation, and do 1 on 1s and group presentations each week
 
(3) Always be engaged in fast track as an individual, until you are a D4, then form a team
 
(4) DEVELOP Directors with 20+ personals.  Do proper follow up, training and help your new business builder with at least their first 8
 
(5) Aim to stay on the Pacesetter program if at all possible.  Basically if you are on a 7 a week pace, you will always stay on the Director and Senior Director Pacesetter program
 
(6) Have a long term commitment to your business, thinking it will take 3 - 5 years to build a solid residual income
 
WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING IF YOU ARE A Director 3 - Director 9
 
(1) Enroll 4 personals a month if you have lots of people to work with, and Enroll 8 personals a month if you cant find anyone to work with to help get to Director
 
(2) Do lots of "in home" presentations over the phone, Internet, or Speakerphone
 
(3) Lead a fast track team each month, and if you have any D 4 or above in your business, have them lead a separate team each month.  Duplicate fast track
 
(4) Develop more of your existing directors into Strong 20/20 Directors, and start working with your personals, personals, so your personal enrollments get to D2+ which gives you the new Pacesetter Mentoring Bonuses ($5000 between D and SD!)
 
(5) Aim to stay on the Pacesetter Program.  If you are off of it, start today with a renewed commitment to do the above 4 items, and you will have the momentum needed to advance to Senior Director, and rocket thru the Senior Director Pacesetter Program
 
(6) Have a long term commitment to Melaleuca.  Once a Senior Director it normally still takes 1 - 3 years to have a solid residual income for many years to come of consistant part time effort, before you can do Melaleuca only a few hours a week of maintenance
 
(7) Start having PRE CALLS before fast track with your organization only to go over recognition and key things going on in your business 15 minutes before my Fast Track starts maybe from 9:35 - 9:50pm
 
WHAT SHOULD A SENIOR DIRECTOR AND ABOVE BE DOING
 
(1) Enroll 2 - 4 personals a month if you are quite busy enrolling for your team, 4 - 6 personals a month if you are not as busy as you would like to be, and 8 personals a month if you have no one new to work with
 
(2) Do weekly New Horizons presentations using a phone system where your entire group can bring on guests, or do online NH presentations once a week for your team to create duplication
 
(3) Duplicate Fast Track into your entire Organization.  A growing Senior - Senior 9 should have 3 - 5 teams minimally to maximize the full benefit of the fast track concept.  If you have 20-40 people + as part of fast track, your growth will increase, and so will retention, and leadership
 
(4) Work on Developing more personal directors always, getting to 10+ personal directors so you are ready to hit Executive Director early.  The way you have solid directors is to get your Directors to D2 and above, which locks them in.  With the new pacesetter mentoring bonus, you will earn more money then ever for developing leadership, and helping your people advance creates long term residual security too
 
(5) Aim to stay on the Pacesetter Senior Director - Senior Director 9 pacesetter program.  Take full advantage of the 25 Anniversary Promo by developing a Director in November personally to qualify if you didn't do so in October. Senior Director levels now start out at 50 PC growth per level, and then progress to 100 Pc growth towards Exec Director per status increase
 
(6) Have a long term commitment, and realize that Executive Director and above is where the 6 figure income starts, so its no time to want to slow down.  Getting stalled or slowing down in the Senior Director ranks costs you more money then at any point in the comp plan
 
WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO NOW ADVANCE YOUR BUSINESS
 
I always like to think in terms of total Preferred Customers in working a game plan out.  Assume your average order is 50 points
 
     Director                  8 personal customers
                                                Director 2         10 personal customers with    20 total customers in your organization
Director 3             50 total customers
Director 4            100 total customers
Director 5            150 total customers
                                                 Director 6            200 total customers          (one new personal director    is needed EVERY other level)
Director 7            250 total customers
Director 8            300 total customers
Director 9            350 total customers
           Senior Director    400 total preferred customers
 
As you can see with these new "baby steps" you simply need to formulate a plan to
 
a) Develop personal directors and 
b) grow by 50 preferred customers to advance between Director 3 - 9
 
Senior Director 2  450 total customers
Senior Director 3  500 total customers
Senior Director 4  550 total customers
Senior Director 5  600 total customers
Senior Director 6  650 total customers
Senior Director 7  700 total customers
Senior Director 8  750 total customers
Senior Director 9  800 total customers
 
As you can see, with these new "baby steps" you simply need to formulate a plan to
 
a) Develop more personal directors and
b) grow by 50 preferred customers to advance between Senior Director and Senior Director 9
 
The compensation plan enhancements may seem complicated but it is now easier to explain, advance, you earn more, and between Director 3 - Senior Director 9 its very simple
 
Develop Personal Directors , help them advance, consistently enroll, and be as active as possible doing presentations and follow up training's for your team to reap the biggest rewards!!
 
 
 
*** Grow by 50 and Develop another Director Personally.
 
If you want to grow by 50 net growth, you divide that by the number of days per advancement
 
Lets say you want to advance every 2 months.  That means about 1 new customer a day needs to join your business
(more if your organization is bigger)
 
SUMMARY
 
51% of all Countrywide Product Points is the minimum guaranteed payout, which is higher then it ever has been!  82% of Melaleucas payout is from 7% residuals.  Focus on growing that
 
Don't try and figure out how to understand, explain or know every detail about the comp plan (new or old)
 
Focus on these activities:
 
1) Enrollers bonus - Enroll 4 - 8 every month and you will earn an extra 2k a year by doing just that
2) Develop Directors personally and help them advance - you will earn the director bonus and pacesetter bonuses
3) Work consistently with folks on your first 4 generations by doing follow up training's and presentations,&
4) Plug your team into fast track every month, have goals, and the correct weekly activities to achieve them
