Human spirit vs. holy spirit - in men.
Yes, the human spirit is congenital, but the holy spirit is a gift from God.
See some Bible verses below:
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy spirit of promise,
As soon as an individual understandswhat it is and why it is,
makes a free will decision and wants it, then asks
God,
God gives the gift of holy spirit right there and then to him...
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:
how much more shall your heavenly Father give the holy spirit
to them that ask him?
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of
God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is
given unto us.
(Given unto us according to Romans
10:9+10
Romans 10:9-10
9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him
from
the
dead, thou shalt be saved.
10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation.)
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling,
not
according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace,
which
was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2 Thessalonians 2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them
that perish; because they
received not the love of the truth,
that they
might be saved.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of
yourselves:
it is the gift
of God:
Ephesians 2:5
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together
with Christ, (by
grace ye are saved;)
1 Corinthians 3:15
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:
but he himself shall be saved; yet so
as by fire.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
** Exemplar:
Jude 1:5
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this,
how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land
of Egypt,
afterward destroyed them that believed not.
**
1 Corinthians 2:13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them,
the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake
with tongues, and prophesied.
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since
ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not
so
much as heard whether there be
any Holy Ghost.
Acts 11:16
Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said,
John indeed baptized with water; but
ye
shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost.
Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that
ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
note:
Holy Ghost = holy spirit = the gift from God - this is NOT
received at
birth,
but when an a person understands and decides to
believe God, he can and
will
give such a person holy spirit, his gift as he
promised and is
evidenced in the
Bible, since the time of Pentecost. Holy spirit
then becomes the seal
for the hope
when Jesus Christ returns for his body - his
church when dead in Christ
rise first
and those that are alive are
changed..... look at :
1
Thessalonians 4:16-18
16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God:
and the
dead in Christ shall rise first:
17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together
with them in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air:
and so shall we
ever be with the Lord.
18
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
When it comes to the gift of holy
spirit, Jesus explains to Nicodemus in terms which
this educated man can not yet comprehend. The time of availability was
at hand,
very close, but not yet available, because the day of Pentecost did not
come as of yet:
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God.
... and again another record:
John 3:7
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
... and yet another record:
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again,
not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which
liveth and abideth for ever.
The corruptible seed
all of us humans have. Our earthly
father's seed is in all of us.
This seed is powerful,
but corruptible.
It's power is evident in your life which
manifests the unchangeable nature of it. You will remain your father's
son, no matter what.
The seed with it's DNA, etc. But you earthly fathers'...
this seed is corruptible.
One day you'll have to die and the thing that your earthly father's seed produced
will corrupt
and fall apart, go to dust, so to speak.
God, on the other hand gives us - when we ask him in Jesus' name as
described in
Romans 10:9+10 the seed that is NOT corruptible,
it's incorruptible seed,
having eternal life or one could say "the code of life" in it.
It becomes ours and no
one is able to corrupt it.
If
anyone could corrupt it,
than it would be corruptible, wouldn't it?...
Do you understand the deep things of spirit I explained here?
Do you realize the future potential Jesus is explaining Nicodemus?
The day Jesus was showing this to Nicodemus it was a not far away
future for him.
For us today this is a reality we may experience daily!
