About Sarah
As a child, Sarah was a competitive figure skater for three years and was even ranked 3rd in the New York State regional competition. She studied Tae Kwon Do and is a brown belt. She also has interests in sports like boxing and gymnastics.
She started her career at an early age and was on many commercials such as her role as "The Burger King Girl". Unfortunately, she needed speech lessons to pronounce words like "burger" ...hehehe.
Her first T.V. show was a talk show where she was casted as one of the hosts of the 'Girl Talk'. Her first major T.V. appearance was in the short-lived series, "Swans Crossing" where she played Sydney Rutledge, the lead role. After 65 episodes at 2pm in the middle of the day, Swans Crossing was no more.
February,
1993 she appeared on the set of All My Children as the conniving Kendall
Hart After her first year on the show, Sarah received a nomination for
Outstanding Young actress. However, she didn't quite make it to the podium,
but she was amazed, and very very very happy at the fact she was
nominated.
Just to show how talented she really is, she was nominated again the following
year, and she went home with an Emmy! (Susan Lucci must've been ready to
explode!) A day after, the producers of AMC unfortunately announced that
Sarah would be leaving the show. They already knew this before she won
the Emmy but decided to save the news for after the Awards.
In 1996 she was chosen as the lead to star in a new series called Buffy the Vampire Slayer, based on the movie. The show was loved by all, except for the idiots who control the Neilson Ratings. WB loved the show, and signed it on for another season. After 2 new hair cuts, different shades of blonde, even more interesting plots with different twists and turns, and 1 full season the series has taken a leapt into the 84th position in the Nielson ratings.
Since signing on with Josh Whedon, Sarah has appeared in 2 blockbuster movies. She starred in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" & "Scream 2" which were both, coincidentally, written by Kevin Williamson.
Sarah
received the Blockbuster Entertainment Award of Best Supporting Actress
- for I Know What
You Did Last Summer (Jennifer Love Hewitt) in 1997. Mr.Showbiz. also named
her, "The most beautiful woman". Who would've ever thought?
Sarah's
next project is Cruel Inventions, which I have no info on, but I'll post
it as soon as possible!
And she'll be starting to film a movie called "Vanilla Fog" right after
Cruel Inventions is done.
Busy
girl, isn't she?
As you can see....I know a lot of stuff about Sarah Michelle Gellar, but
my description of her will never compare to the real thing! She's one of
a kind.
