Asterix The Gaul

Above are Asterix, Obelix, Majestrix and Miraculix from the German adaptation of the French comic Asterix the Gaul. My "little bother" Tilman turned me on to Asterix comic books while I was in Germany in 1972.
To learn more about Asterix, check out his official site in french if you're adventurous or if you're not - here it is in english. Or just meet Asterix & his fellow Gauls. Here is also the Yahoo! list of Asterix.

Fraggle Rock
I miss the Fraggles. I wish someone would bring them back to teevy in our area.
Gobo. Mokey Wembly
Boober & Red The Gorgs The Fraggles with the Doozers.
Doc & Sprocket.

Die Mainzelmännchen.

More German characters...the 'Mainzelmännchen' (little men from Mainz), were featured between ads during the commercial hour (11AM to NOON?) which preceeded the daily programming - which started at noon, if I remember right - on German television when I was there in 1972.
They are Anton, Berti, Conni, Det, Edi and Fritzchen (I'm missing a small picture of Berti).
The Mainzelmännchen are also featured on the wallpaper on this page.
Check out this Mainzelmännchen site to see more.

The Teletubbies

Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po. And I don't care what anyone else says, I like 'em. Eh-oh!
And some teletubby links: PBS-TV Teletubby site, BBC Online's Teletubby Page, Teletubbies.com (I love what this site does to your mouse! Check it out!)

Another German character. This is Diddl-Maus.
