Musical history: Studied with instrumental guitarist, Joe Satriani at the age of 13. Played in Cult of Bigness (at age 15), Winter Effect, Tone Deaf, and other ska/rave/punk bands in the Berkeley scene Musical influences: U2 (especially The Edge), the Velvet Underground, the Clash, Led Zeppelin

Oddball facts:

Had two neon tetras (itty bitty fish with bright stripes) in a fish tank on the tour bus during the last tour (Put the Past Away). Recently gave it to a lucky fan

First concert he ever saw was a U2 show in San Fransisco (on the "War" tour)

Used to be an actupuncture model (sorry, I don't have pics)

The reason why Kevin has so many guitars on stage? "I have, like, five different tunings and I have to switch guitars. So, I have guys throwing guitars at me all the time."

One time, when 3EB was first starting out, Kevin was working so hard his sweat dripped on his guitar and shorted it out! ("Everyone in the room walked out. I was like, 'where you going? It'll be working soon.'")
