68th Regt who discharged & remained in NZ
The regiment returned to England early in 1866. Some men elected to stay in NZ. Some had served all their time, others were permitted to 'purchase' their discharge. The majority were discharged in March with the rest of the regiment sailed from Auckland on 12, 14 & 28th March 1866
