4/13/01: Well, yesterday, Thursday, was opening night for the Taming of the Shrew. Myself, with nine entries and exits, had to slip a cheat sheet into my pants pocket, because I have a hard enough time just recalling my lines. For this performance, I relaxed, and did not recite my upcoming lines in my head, I just waited and listened and knew that I would speak my lines when I was called upon. I am still suffering from the acting doldrums, that is, I am not nearly as excited as I believe I should be when my rubber soled wing-tips trod the stage. I think this may be because I certainly haven't done the hours and hours of homework it would take to bring real depth, real life, to Gremio. And also my confusion as to whom the director actually wants  Gremio to be. And in addition, because I am allowing my natural dark Finnish genetics to keep me 'safe' by continuing to dwell in a deep depression.

4/11/01: Dammit, dammit! I've just been informed by my squad of lawyers (the ones not working with the folks at the IRS) that the numerous confidentiality agreements I have signed in the past, prevent me from reporting on some very interesting happenings in the lives of some very famous people. Now, how the hell else am I ever going to become important if I can't draw attention to me by spewing gossip about important people?

Drawing stolen from some kid's homework. Do I have NO shame?4/10/01: The Postwoman delivered my peach colored postcard from Desert Foothills Theater announcing The Annual "Annie" Awards Party and BBQ. "A year-end celebration, to be held at 6800 E. Carefree Highway, Sunday, April 29th, 2001 at 3p.m. RSVP to 480-488-1981 by April 20th, 2001." I'm not much for parties or celebrations (especially when I found nothing to celebrate about my single performance at DFT and don't you f###ing agree, either!) but for those of you who are in the mood for celebration: "Drinks and meats provided. Please bring a side dish." 4/09/01: Over at movie-mistakes.com a cornucopia of errors are detailed. And if you've noted an error that is not listed you are invited to add it. When watching films, I always keep my eyes peeled for any lit cigarettes and liquid filled clear drinking glasses and am occasionally rewarded with Houdini-type illusions. 4/08/01: Just pulled my Theater Works 2001-2002 Summer Stock & Mainstage Audition Schedule out of my battered mailbox. Seems they've got eight productions coming up and "All actors will receive a stipend!" They also note that they have a space in "Central Phoenix" for rehearsing, negating the nightly drive to the far West Valley. They have two stages now and you should be aware of what stage your play will be performed on.
4/04/01: Your Master Thespian will be attending Actorfest 2001 to be held in Universal City, California,
Saturday April 21st, 2001. A mere sixteen days from now. It will be my first attendance (and I'll have to cut it short to fly back to Tempe, Arizona to make a 7:00PM call) so I don't know what to expect (and due to my limited resumé, I am not expecting much) but I will bring a ream of my head shots and my annoying 35mm camera.

April 8th, 2001The April 8th, 2001 Page6.com reports that T.C. was indeed the father! So who knows?
4/03/01: David Poland over at the new Voices of Hollywood web site, spills the beans on the Kidman-Cruise split. Of course you soap opera types have already figured it out. Seems Nicole was made pregnant by another man (as evidenced by hubby's inadequate sperm count) and then refused to succumb to a T.C. requested termination. After the split, Nicole sadly suffered a spontaneous abortion. Is Tom Cruise gay? My Hollywood sources, those bent towards lawyerly pursuits, familiar with Mr. Cruise report that . . . his money is green.
