Most people just groom Americans with their hands. Some just vigorously pet their cavy from head to rump. I like to use a soft rag and a water bottle. Gently spray the soft rag with a little water, and pet the animal from the head to the rump. This also gets the extra hair(especailly when they shed)and works great. I advise NOT to use a brush,(unless it is a soft baby brush)because you can break apart their hairs and take away the sheen. For additional grooming tips, go to the main grooming page.
